Travel Money Oz has played a pivotal role as a trusted supplier on Travel Guides, enhancing the guides’ global experiences. Their subsequent goal was to connect with Australian travellers preparing for overseas journeys by introducing their Currency Pass, with aspirations to become established as a household name and boost card sales and inquiries. Featuring both extraordinary overseas adventures and domestic delights, Travel Guides was the perfect platform to elevate their product message.


Travel Money Oz partners with Nine to leverage the IP of Travel Guides

The solution was simple. Leverage the IP of Travel Guides and align to talent – using established brands and personalities to elevate Travel Money Oz’s Currency Pass to new heights. Powered by Nine identified that the ticket to success was showcasing the benefits of the Currency Pass in a way that felt natural to the show and to viewers, by using high-profile Total TV activity with digital and owned-channel support, and creating a competition that made people feel both brand love and involvement in a much-loved format.

With a Parisian flair, Travel Money Oz teamed up with the Fren family, creating an integrated TVC that made it clear how the Currency Pass could take travellers’ ease of experience to new heights. The Frens were engaged on social media for the season, appeared in-store and across the Travel Money Oz website, and leveraged the power of cross-platform opportunities to reach a wider audience eager to travel.

Over the course of the campaign, a promotion was created to win a holiday, to drive database acquisition and excite viewers – promoted via in-show playouts,  9Now Pause ads and across social posts, with a bespoke landing page that sat on the 9Now show site.
