Sydneysiders are embracing 2GB 873 for live and local news, talk and entertainment, with the station remaining the clear leader in Sydney – #1 across Breakfast, Mornings, Evenings and Weekends, recording its 129th consecutive survey win with a 13.7% audience share.
“Ben Fordham has maintained his dominance in the toughest slot in the country with a share of 16.1%, more than 5 points ahead of his nearest competitor, while it’s Ray Hadley’s 129th consecutive survey as the #1 Mornings show. Ray commands over 17% of the audience and has never sounded better.” said Greg Byrnes Nine Radio’s Head of Content.
Among the highlights of the survey in Sydney were:
- Ben Fordham Live retains the #1 spot in the Breakfast timeslot – with an audience share of 16.1%.
- The Ray Hadley Morning Show remains a clear #1 recording an audience share of 17.2% (up 0.4 points). This is Ray’s 129th consecutive win.
- Afternoons with Deborah Knight has maintained its audience with a share of 10.7%.
- Drive with Jim Wilson continues to deliver a solid audience in the Drive timeslot, with an 8.8% audience share.
- Nights with John Stanley dominates the timeslot – a clear #1 with an audience of 20.9%, well ahead of its competitors.
- 2GB is the clear #1 on Weekends (including The Garden Clinic, Chris Smith and The Continuous Call Team) with its audience share at 13.6%.
Networked programs Wide World of Sports with Mark Levy (2GB) and Money News with Brooke Corte (2GB, 3AW, 4BC) continue to perform strongly in their early evenings timeslot holding their audience.
