Livinia Nixon to host weekend breakfast on 2UE, Magic, 4BH and 6GT
Weekends are set to get a whole lot brighter with Livinia Nixon hosting the breakfast shift on Nine’s recently launched music stations from Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5.
One of Australia’s most versatile and enduring media personalities, Nixon will kick-start your weekend from 6.00am to midday on stations 2UE 954, Magic 1278, 4BH 882 and 6GT DAB+.
“Livinia will bring a sparkle to our weekend schedule as she plays the greatest hits of all time, along with the latest news, weather and traffic.” said Greg Byrnes, Nine Radio’s Head of Content.
“With Stevie Jacobs hosting weekday breakfast and Livinia now stepping into weekends we’ve settled on a morning lineup which gives music lovers their best start to the day, seven days a week.”
Nixon has worked across a variety of radio stations, including drive on Mix FM (now KIIS FM), a breakfast stint on Nova FM and daily crosses for 3AW.
“Playing the greatest hits takes us back to a simpler, happier time and the news updates keep us on top of what is happening in the world today,” Nixon said. “It’s the perfect combination.”
“I’m really looking forward to spending the weekend with listeners as we bring you the greatest hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s.”
Nixon has been part of the Nine family for more than 20 years and is best known for bringing Melbourne viewers their weather report each week night on Nine News at 6.00pm, a role she has held since 2004. She has worked on a long list of programs including Hey Hey It’s Saturday, Temptation, Carols by Candlelight and Today, while currently reporting for long-running travel program, Getaway.
Nine’s music stations are available in digital quality via online, apps, smart speakers and DAB+ as well as on 2UE 954AM in Sydney, Magic 1278AM in Melbourne, 4BH 882AM in Brisbane and 6GT DAB+ in Perth.
