James Boyce is an experienced regulatory, government affairs and communications professional, with a deep understanding of industry policy, national affairs and media. As Director Regulatory, Public Affairs & Communications for the Nine Group, James has responsibility for Nine’s corporate communications and regulatory affairs. His appointment in April 2025 reinforced Nine’s sharper focus on the regulatory and policy environment and the Company’s commitment to demonstrating leadership for the industry in the contemporary media landscape. James joined Nine from Paramount (Australia and New Zealand), where he was head of government and regulatory affairs. Prior to that, James worked at the highest levels of government as a senior advisor to an Australian Prime Minister. Having started his career in the media, James also has more than a decade of experience as a journalist in television and radio.
