Australia’s Most Trusted News and Current Affairs
Australia’s Most Trusted News and Current Affairs
Nine is Australia’s most trusted, dependable and credible source of news and current affairs.
For more than 60 years, Australians have turned to Nine News to be reliably informed about matters affecting their lives.
In 2017, Nine News once again took out the ratings crown for its 6.00pm bulletins in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, a result that drives our team to work harder to provide the most accurate and the up-to-date news service possible. This year, on top of the 3.00pm Nine News Now bulletin, we also rolled out a series of state-based 4.00pm afternoon bulletins to complement our suite of evening bulletins.
Nine is also home to Australia’s fastest growing and most informative regional news bulletins. Every night of the week, Nine News broadcasts 27 simultaneous 6.00pm bulletins across our country.
Returning to our screens for an historic 40th season in 2018, 60 Minutes has consistently set the benchmark for unveiling the biggest exclusive stories every Sunday night. Veteran reporters Liz Hayes, Liam Bartlett, Tara Brown, Ross Coulthart, Allison Langdon, Charles Woolley and Peter Stefanovic continue to deliver cutting-edge journalism and ensure that 60 Minutes remains Australia’s number one weekly public affairs program.
A Current Affair has long been the voice of everyday Australians, standing up for the underdogs and exposing crime, fraud, and dodgy practices wherever they may exist, all while managing to entertain us with the latest entertainment, technology and celebrity news. It continues to provide a service for ordinary Aussies in their day-to-day lives, featuring an elite team of respected Australian journalists. Tracy Grimshaw returns in 2018 to host A Current Affair, which has firmly cemented itself as the preferred viewing choice in the 7.00pm prime-time slot, a consistent winner night after night.
After celebrating its landmark 35th year on air, TODAY is back in 2018 waking up with Australia. Hosts Karl Stefanovic and Lisa Wilkinson, along with Entertainment Editor Richard Wilkins, News presenter Sylvia Jeffreys, Sports presenter Tim Gilbert, Weather presenter Natalia Cooper and Finance Editor Ross Greenwood, will bring you all the latest in news, current affairs, sport, politics, entertainment, fashion, health and lifestyle from Australia and around the world.
Sonia Kruger and David Campbell will return to our screens for TODAY Extra in 2018. They’ll continue to bring the latest in news, current affairs, fashion and celebrity gossip into lounge rooms across Australia throughout their morning.
Australians will continue to start their weekend on a high, joining Deb Knight, Tom Steinfort and News presenter Jayne Azzopardi for Weekend TODAY as they deliver all the latest in news, current affairs, sport, politics, entertainment, fashion, health and lifestyle from Australia and around the world.
