9News Queensland and 9 Gold Coast News have once again cemented their status as the state’s most trusted news services, officially claiming the 2026 ratings year.
Across both the 5-day and 7-day broadcasts, 9News Queensland has won 21 weeks of the 40-week official ratings calendar across all key demographics and Total People. This spectacular achievement marks 9News Queensland’s 7th consecutive ratings year as the No.1 news bulletin in Brisbane.
Driven by a relentless commitment to breaking vital local stories, the Queensland 6pm bulletin has drawn an average nightly audience across the 7-days of 213,700, representing a +4.3% year-on-year growth across Total People.
In live streaming, 9News Queensland has also won every week of the 2026 ratings year with an average BVOD audience across Total TV across the 7-days of 34,400 per bulletin, growing by 67% year-on-year. The growth on 9Now continued across all key demos: People 25-54 (+61.2%), People 16-39 (+57.1%) and Grocery Shoppers 18+ (69%).
