Aussie music stars perform greatest hits on The Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef is set to become even more spectacular as it transforms into a breathtaking stage for Savannah Sounds On The Reef, a one-of-a-kind music event featuring a star-studded lineup of artists, this Saturday at 2.00pm AEST on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Set against the backdrop of pristine Moore Reef, viewers will have an exclusive front-row seat upon a floating pontoon surrounded by the stunning landscapes of one of Australia’s most cherished natural wonders and the brilliance of artists such as Sheppard, Lee Kernaghan, Max Jackson and Kairos Kin, who feature in the upcoming Savannah In The Round festival.
Savannah Sounds on The Reef is part of a broader initiative to revitalise tourism and support the region’s recovery following the devastation of Cyclone Jasper. This inaugural, not-for-profit event is a tribute to the dedicated volunteers and community leaders who played crucial roles during and after the cyclone.
James Dein, CEO of Sound Australia and the visionary behind Savannah In The Round, said: “Music has a remarkable ability to connect and inspire, making this event a perfect opportunity to showcase the beauty of this enchanting region and celebrate the remarkable people who bring it to life.
“Savannah In The Round features some of Australia’s most talented artists, and through Savannah Sounds on The Reef, audiences have the chance to preview the festival and fall in love with the extraordinary music and stunning landscapes here in our own backyard.”
Prepare to be mesmerised by the stunning beauty of the Great Barrier Reef and the magical music of Savannah Sounds On The Reef, this Saturday at 2.00pm AEST on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Savannah In The Round and Savannah Sounds On The Reef are supported by sponsorship from Tourism and Events Queensland and the Australian and Queensland Governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
