The release of GfK Survey 7 results today shows that 3AW has a market-leading share of 13.5, well ahead of all competition and 5.5 share points ahead of its nearest talk rival.
This remarkable achievement not only solidifies 3AW’s position at the forefront of Melbourne’s airwaves but also marks an unparalleled milestone in the station’s history – the 74th consecutive survey win, underscoring over a decade of market dominance.
Each week, a staggering 828,000 residents of Melbourne engage with 3AW’s acclaimed blend of live and locally-driven talk radio. It marks the station’s best Survey 7 cumulative audience in three years.
3AW reaches 241,000 listeners within the coveted 25-54 demographic every week – up 6% on last survey.
3AW is also the outright No.1 in live audio streaming with a 31.4 share of the commercial streaming audience – more than three times the streaming share of its nearest commercial competitor.
Ross and Russ maintain their dominant position in the Breakfast slot, boasting a remarkable 19.6 share. Additionally, the inimitable duo garnered a substantial streaming following, capturing an astonishing 52.1 share of the commercial streaming audience.
Neil Mitchell remained significantly ahead of all competitors in the Mornings slot, securing a 15.5 share and an impressive 34.9 share in the commercial streaming realm.
Tony Moclair is the No. 1 talk program in the Afternoons slot with a 9.9 share.
Tom Elliott remains Melbourne’s No.1 Drive talk program with a share of 11.1.
Denis Walter is once again Melbourne’s No. 1 Evening program with a share of 16.3.
