The Voice Delivers Across All Platforms
The Voice has once again confirmed its place as Australia’s favourite light entertainment format, with a national audience of more than 1.529 million watching 28-year-old vocal loop artist Sam Perry named the winner of the 2018 season last night on Nine.
Ratings for The Voice averaged 1.309 million for overnight viewers throughout the 2018 series. Last night also set a record for The Voice with over one million votes cast in the Grand Finale, as audiences tuned in across both television and digital to see Team Kelly’s Sam Perry take out the crown.
Sam Perry is the first Australian artist on The Voice who has written his own winning single, with Trust Myself debuting strongly in the iTunes charts and peaking at number four.
All of the tracks Perry has released from his performances on The Voice are in the Top 40 on iTunes, while his music streams from the series are rapidly approaching the one million-mark.
The 2018 season of The Voice continued to draw strong national audience figures, with an average of 1.688 million across overnight, consolidated, encore and 9Now viewing.*
On 9Now, this season of The Voice also saw strong digital numbers with live viewing up 92 per cent and more than 95 million minutes of VPM on-demand content viewed throughout the series.
The official Voice app again drew record engagement, with over 1.2 million downloads this season, 5.2 million live in-app interactions across the series, and overall voting numbers for the series also hitting new highs, with 3.5 million votes cast across the series.
