The Stars Are Out Tonight For The Aria Awards On Nine
Channel Nine, Australia’s home of entertainment, presents the 31st Annual ARIA Awards with Apple Music tonight from 7.30PM, with the red carpet presented by Twitter to be available for streaming from 2.00PM at https://www.9now.com.au/arias.
The ARIA Awards, Australian music’s night of nights, celebrate the very best talent our country has to offer, as well as some special international superstar guests. Harry Styles and Lorde will join us for a great evening of live performances presented by Nine’s entertainment guru, Richard Wilkins.
Harry Styles is on a world tour following the success of his self-titled debut album, which has hit number one on the ARIA charts and others around the world, marking his re-emergence following One Direction. His first single, Sign of the Times, has been certified double platinum and his second single, Kiwi, is rocketing up the charts.
New Zealand-born Lorde has taken the world by storm with her pop anthems. Her album Melodrama has gone gold in Australia and is fast approaching one billion streams on Apple Music, while Green Light, the single, has reached triple platinum sales in Australia.
They will be joined by a lineup of top Australian performers, including nominated artists Jessica Mauboy, Gang of Youths, A.B. Original, Peking Duk, Pnau, Amy Shark, Paul Kelly and more. There will also be a special performance by 2017 ARIA Hall of Fame inductee, Daryl Braithwaite.
Rebel Wilson and INXS will be among the headlining presenters for the evening, alongside Grammy and ARIA-winning sensation Flume, co-founder of Fleetwood Mac, Mick Fleetwood, in-demand songwriter Julia Michaels, rock legend Jimmy Barnes and singer-songwriter Vance Joy, among many others.
