The hospital with heart is back

The hospital with heart is back

The hospital with heart is back

Join your favourite physicians for an honest, revealing look at the frenetic frontline of one of Australia’s biggest trauma hospitals when Emergency returns, Thursday, October 19, at 8.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

In the fourth instalment of this unique fly-on-the wall series, the curtain is again pulled back for an exclusive, inside look at Royal Melbourne Hospital’s Emergency Department to expose the gripping reality of life working in the action-stations casualty ward.

Get to know the special team under the scrubs as Emergency gives you a window into the lives of the dedicated doctors, nurses and first responders striving to save the lives of those in need every day.

Joining the hospital hero favourites of previous Emergency series – Doctors Bjorn, Emma, George, Jonathan, Luke, Mark, Martin, Michael, Michelle, Mya and Nurses Ebony, Gemma and Sarah – the gripping new season welcomes several new faces: Dr Andrew Trezise, Dr Andrew Wallace, Dr Terry Kane, Dr Tsung Chung, Nurse Practitioners Paul Casey and Krystal Maloney, Nurses Liz Wheeler, Jenna Aumann, Gigi Ferrer and Nurse Unit Manager Susan Harding.

Mixing tragedy and humour with hope and joy, the heartwarming series follows the journey of patients through the eyes of this supremely skilled medical team.

In the season four premiere Dr Scott and Dr Jonathan fear for a pregnant woman badly injured in a high-speed traffic accident. Dr Andrew and Dr Jana must urgently treat a jockey who’s been crushed under a horse, leaving him with life-threatening injuries. Dr Jason attends to a patient in agony after crashing a motorbike into a truck. And Dr Martin and Nurse Sarah have to resort to translator apps to communicate with a scared young tourist hit by a car.

Emergency is produced by WTFN for the 9Network.
