Nine radio has issued an updated advice on cyber-attack experienced by Frontier
On 4 February 2022 Nine issued an advice that personal information relating to current and former employees of Nine Radio was exposed in a cyber attack against Nine’s external payroll software provider, Frontier Software Pty Ltd (Frontier). The February advice is available here.
Frontier has recently advised Nine that, following a manual review of the files that were accessed in the cyber attack, it has become aware that additional personal information of current and former employees of Nine was exposed in the cyber attack.
Additional personal information exposed
Frontier has identified a further four files that were exposed in the cyber attack containing personal information of 1,106 current and former employees of Nine from 2016 which includes the employees covered by the Previous Notification (First Group) and an additional 652 current and former employees (Second Group).
Each of those files contains different information relating to the individuals as follows:

Frontier has once again confirmed to Nine that the information was deleted by the entity responsible for the cyber attack. We have not identified any misuse of the information which was accessed from Frontier from our own ongoing monitoring.
Nine continues to engage ID Care, which can provide free expert and independent support to the current and former employees impacted by this incident. They can provide you with a case manager for practical digital identity recovery and response as well as counselling support.
Nine has contacted the ATO to flag those affected TFNs for any suspicious activity. Please note we are aware that this incident has caused the ATO to lock certain accounts.
