Alan Jones Begins 2020 with Special Broadcasts from Bushfire Affected Areas
Australia’s most popular talkback presenter Alan Jones will return to the airwaves tomorrow with two special broadcasts on 2GB and 4BC to highlight the impact of the devastating bushfires.
Tomorrow and Wednesday, Jones will broadcast his top-rating breakfast radio program from Club Catalina in Batemans Bay, in the heart of the fire-ravaged region, speaking to residents in affected areas about how they are coping and shining a light on the next steps are in rebuilding these shattered communities.
“The homelessness, destruction and debris I have seen on the NSW South Coast is beyond any comprehension,” said Alan Jones, Radio 2GB and 4BC’s breakfast presenter. “No one has been able to fully capture the devastation that remains now that the fires have gone. There are amazing stories of bravery and survival and we’ll be bringing them all to our listeners this week.
“I’m delighted to be back. I’m aware that there are massive issues facing Australians in difficulty. My listeners will be expecting me to help provide some immediate answers. As Ash Barty would say, ‘We will be giving it a crack’.”
The Alan Jones Breakfast Show will be on-air tomorrow from 5.30am-9.00am. Jones will also host his Sky News program from the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club on Tuesday night at 8.00pm.
