3AW holds its #1 place in key 40-54s advertiser demographic

In what was another stunning result, 3AW recorded an audience share of 20.6% (up 3.7 points) in Survey 7 of the GfK radio ratings, as Melbourne continued to turn to Talk Radio as a trusted source of news and opinion.

3AW has posted its best result since 1959, with allprograms hitting unprecedented ratings figures, including a stunning 29.8% for Breakfast with Ross and Russ. It’s 3AW’s best overall result in decades and shows Melburnians flocked to 3AW for trusted news and companionship in uncertain times.

“We made major changes across the Nine Radio network at the start of the year and the results are proving impressive,” said Greg Byrnes Nine Radio’s Head of Content. “Melburnians flocked to 3AW for trusted news and companionship in tough times.

“Across the day all programs on 3AW have recorded stunning numbers. Ross and Russ’s 29.8% in Breakfast is unprecedented. Neil, Dee Dee, Tom, Denis and their production teams have also posted huge figures, which is testament to their hard work over a difficult six months.”

The station is #1 in Breakfast, Mornings, Afternoons, Drive, Nights and Weekends recording across the board increases. 3AW remains #1 in the key 40-54s advertiser demographic.
