3AW 693 is Melbourne’s most listened to radio station (AM and FM) with an increased audience share of 15.6% (up 0.4%), according to the GFK survey results released today.

“3AW is the dominant force in Melbourne radio,” said Greg Byrnes Macquarie Media’s Head of Content. “Across the day and well into the night 3AW is clearly the station Melbourne turns to. It’s an impressive end to a remarkable year and sets us up for an exciting 2020.”

Among the highlights of the survey in Melbourne were:
• 3AW Breakfast with Ross Stevenson and John Burns is celebrating an amazing 145 consecutive surveys and a total of 216 wins as Melbourne’s No. 1 Breakfast show. They dominate Melbourne radio with an audience share of 20.8%, an incredible 10.5 points clear of any other station.
• Neil Mitchell retains his long-held #1 position. Neil is the favourite destination in Melbourne as the trusted source for news, talk and current affairs. His increased share of 16.8% (up 1.0%) puts him well ahead of all competitors.
• Tom Elliott enjoyed his best result of 2019 – No. 1 with an increased share of 14.4% (up 1.0%) in the highly-competitive Drive 3.00pm – 6.00pm time slot.
• John Stanley, with his Nights program, is No. 1 with an audience share of 14.5%.
• Weekends No. 1 overall, with an increased share of 14.9% (up 0.9%).
