2GB 873 remains the clear #1 in Sydney

2GB 873 remains the clear leader in Sydney – #1 across Breakfast, Mornings, Evenings and Weekends according to Survey 8 of the GfK Ratings.

“2GB started the year and ends the year as the definitive number 1 radio station in Sydney” said Greg Byrnes Macquarie Media’s Head of Content. “From early in the morning through too late at night, 2GB is the station most listeners turn to, and with a number of exciting line-up changes in place we’re set for another successful year in 2020”

Among the highlights of the survey in Sydney were:

  • News Talk 2GB 873 is #1 in Sydney (AM and FM) with an audience share of 12.1% of all people 10+ to record its 125th consecutive survey victory.
  • The Alan Jones Breakfast Show dominates the Breakfast timeslot – #1 with an audience share of 14.7%. This represents Alan’s 224th survey win.
  • The Ray Hadley Morning Show is a clear #1 in Mornings with an audience share of 13.8%. This is Ray’s 125th consecutive win.
  • Nights with John Stanley a clear #1 with a 17.5% audience share
  • Weekends #1 overall with 11.7%
