FOOTY SHOW GRAND FINAL: MY ROOM TELETHON

Have your phone ready to show your support when the annual Footy Show Grand Final: My Room Telethon returns this Thursday at 7.30pm on Channel 9, 9Gem and 9Now.

Host Eddie McGuire will be joined by 9News Melbourne anchor Alicia Loxley, AFL Sunday Footy Show panellists Nathan Brown and Matthew Lloyd, and 9News Melbourne sports reporter Natalie Yoannidis for an evening to raise vital funds for young cancer patients and their families through the My Room Children’s Cancer Charity.

Also taking part will be 2026 Brownlow Medal winner Nick Daicos in-studio, alongside fellow My Room ambassadors Marcus Bontempelli and Max Gawn. Plus, we’ll hear from Brisbane Lions captain Harris Andrews ahead of the clash on Saturday. 

Over in the Probe Phone Room, more fan-favourite players including Massimo D’Ambrosio, Will Day, Andrew McGrath and Riley Thilthorpe will be manning the phones to raise every possible dollar. And Australian comedy troupe Sooshi Mango will be adding the laughs. 

It promises to be an evening of tip-top entertainment, laughter and uplifting moments, all geared towards making a real difference for brave kids and their families. 

9NETWORK’S AFL GRAND FINAL COVERAGE

The Telethon is just one part of the 9Network’s comprehensive coverage of AFL Grand Final week.

• Tonight Footy Classified – Tuesday is LIVE from 8.40pm AEST when Eddie McGuire, James Hird and Cal Twomey recap a monster preliminary round and preview the grand final. 
• Following Footy Classified – Tuesday, Players will be joined by some of the biggest names in the game, including Carlton’s Sam Walsh and Blake Acres to talk about life beyond footy. 
• On Sunday, the AFL Sunday Footy Show will be LIVE from the Grand Final after-party, featuring players of the winning team as they celebrate.

This year all AFL programs on Nine have seen positive BVOD growth compared to last year, with Footy Classified – Monday recording the highest year-on-year percentage, 43.0%. It also recorded the highest Total TV Audience with 211,000 viewers tuning in to see Sam McClure, Matthew Lloyd, Damian Barrett and Jimmy Bartel. 

Footy Classified – Tuesday’s new panel of Eddie McGuire, James Hird and Cal Twomey has also had substantial BVOD audience growth, up by 27.0% on last year, with a Total TV Audience of 154,000 viewers. 

These figures have once again cemented Footy Classified as Monday and Tuesday’s top-rated AFL program of the night across all networks.

Plus, the BVOD audience for the AFL Sunday Footy Show with Tony Jones, Matthew Lloyd, Nathan Brown, Damian Barrett and Rory Sloane is up 35.4% year on year.
