The battle for rugby league supremacy goes up another level when the 2023 Women’s State of Origin series comes live and free from Sydney on Channel 9HD and 9Now this Thursday at 7.30pm AEST.
Expanding to a two-game series this year, the women’s game will continue its rise on the 9Network when both fixtures are played in prime time on June 1 and June 22.
Lining up for the New South Wales Blues to defend their title are NRLW stars Millie Boyle, Emma Tonegato, Isabelle Kelly, Jessica Sergis, and rising star Jesse Southwell.
Maroons stalwart Ali Brigginshaw will lead Queensland in a fierce battle where their backline weapons Tamika Upton and Zahara Temara can provide the points needed to win the series, which is decided on a points aggregate basis.
Nine’s coverage will be hosted by Danika Mason with experts Phil Gould, Allana Ferguson, Darren Lockyer, commentator Peter Psaltis, and Emma Lawrence on the sideline.
