It is this reliable slate of family-friendly programming that will see Nine crowned Australia’s No. 1 network for 2019 with the demographics most highly sought after.

Nine’s year begins with the 2020 Australian Open, a prestigious event which guarantees two weeks of consistently high audiences and, in 2019, gave Nine its best ever start to a year.
Our prime-time schedule then kicks in with the phenomenon that is Australia’s No. 1 series, Married at First Sight, before the return of the breakout hit and biggest new series of 2019, LEGO Masters. Then we roll out a raft of more ratings winners including The Voice, Australian Ninja Warrior and The Block.
Nine will wrap up 2019 with both the No. 1 program of the year, State of Origin I, which secured an average national audience of 3.23 million viewers, and the No. 1 non-sports program of the year, the finale of MAFS, which drew an average national audience of 2.75 million.
Nine is also leading the way in the digital space with 9Now the No. 1 commercial free-to-air BVOD platform, with a 47% share. 9Now can also lay claim to the two most streamed video on demand (VOD) programs (total minutes) of the year in MAFS and Love Island UK. And 9Now has every one of the Top 10 live-streamed programs across all broadcasters, based on video player measurement (VPM). Women’s State of Origin will also return in 2020, following a record TV audience – and a record crowd – for this year’s game in which NSW defeated Queensland.

HAMISH & ANDY’S ‘PERFECT’ HOLIDAY
Hamish & Andy love holidays. In fact, they have been taking holidays together and pretending it was work for ten years now. Caravan of Courage saw them traverse the UK and the USA, and Gap Year took them on an adventure through Europe, Asia and South America.
In this proud tradition comes Hamish & Andy’s “Perfect” Holiday, and for the inaugural trip, North America has been selected for its diversity, beauty and, if we are honest, the oversupply of eccentricity. But organising a big holiday is hard, right?
So Hamish & Andy will divide and conquer, planning half the trip each, choosing what they think will be the “perfect” activities for each other. But one person’s perfect can be another’s repulsive. In true Hamish & Andy style, this trip will see them once again uncover the bizarre and embrace the unknown as they treat each other to the “perfect” holiday.
