The WNBL27 Season will bring world-class women’s basketball to sports fans across the country, tipping off this Thursday, October 15, with every Sunday game on 9GO! and all games live and free on 9Now. 

Featuring expanded coverage, international superstars and fierce inner-league rivalries, 9Now will bring fans front-row seats to every moment of the action.  

History will be made in the season opener on Thursday night as the Tasmania Jewels make its long-awaited debut in the WNBL against Geelong Venom. The league’s newest franchise will be looking to make an immediate statement in game one. 

On Friday night, there will be an international spotlight on the Southside Melbourne Flyers and Sydney Flames. Both powerhouse squads feature key marquee imports from China, setting up a thrilling battle. 

Next on Saturday night, revenge will be on the mind when Perth Lynx and Townsville Fire meet in the ultimate Grand Final rematch. As the reigning champions, the Fire will start their campaign against their biggest competition, as the Lynx will fight to settle the score. 

Then on Sunday, the Sydney Flames and Adelaide Lightning go head-to-head on 9GO! with the Flames looking to get a win after a 0-3 record against the Lightning last season.
