Day 14: Australian Open 2025 on the 9Network
It’s down to the champ and the challenger when Aryna Sabalenka and Madison Keys face off in the Australian Open Women’s Singles Final, live and free on the 9Network, tomorrow – Saturday January 25, from 6.30pm AEDT.
Hunting a three-peat of Australian Open singles titles, world no.1 Sabalenka has dismantled all of her opponents on the way to the final, where she meets resurgent American Keys, who is yet to lose a match in the Australian summer of Tennis.
Holding a favourable 4-1 win record over Keys, Sabelanka is chasing history as she sets her sights on joining Evonne Goolagong Cawley, Steffi Graf, Margaret Court, Monica Seles and Martina Hingis as the only women to win three consecutive Australian Open singles titles.
Channel 9 expert commentator, Jelena Dokic, said: “This shapes as a great match up between the two best women’s players of the Aussie summer.”
“After winning the lead up events in Brisbane and Adelaide, Sabalenka and Keys remain unbeaten and are now chasing their own slice of history.
“Sabalenka is deserving of a seat at the table with the five greats who have claimed an Australian Open three-peat, but needs to contend with Keys who wants to claim her breakthrough Grand Slam slam title.
“Last time they met at a Slam was the 2023 US Open and it was an epic three-set encounter. This looks to be one as well between two of the biggest hitters in Women’s tennis.”
The Afternoon Serve is live from 4.00pm AEDT to preview the final day of the women’s singles draw. Australia’s most successful individual Olympian of all time, Kaylee McKeown, and 200m freestyle gold medallist Mollie O’Callaghan join the show as special guests.
Fans will have the ability to watch every point of each match, at any time live, free and on any device in HD on 9Now.
