Award-winning radio and television personality Dan Anstey will permanently join Nine in 2027, taking on a dual role as weather presenter on Today and co-host of Weekend Today.

Bringing his trademark humour, warmth and infectious energy to mornings across Australia, Dan will present Today weather from Monday to Wednesday before joining the Weekend Today team alongside Alison Piotrowski and Lizzie Pearl.

A familiar face to Nine viewers, Dan has spent the past four years presenting weather and hosting across both programs, winning over audiences with his quick wit, natural charm and ability to connect with Australians from all walks of life.

Director of Morning Television, Steven Burling, said: “Dan is a familiar and much-loved face to audiences through his hosting and weather presenting on both programs over the past four years. He is one of the sharpest and most exciting talents out there and we’re lucky to have him as a permanent part of the team from next year.”

Dan Anstey said: “I feel like a kid in a candy store who got to choose my two favourite lollies. This truly is the best of both worlds – getting out with our viewers when presenting weather and then joining Ali and Lizzie in studio bringing the latest news, sport and entertainment each weekend. I can’t wait to be part of it all, and am pumped for what 2027 holds!”

Dan’s appointment rounds out the Today hosting lineup, joining co-hosts Sylvia Jeffreys, Tom Steinfort, Jayne Azzopardi, Michael Atkinson, Richard Wilkins and Renee Bargh.

He will relocate from Brisbane to Sydney with his wife and two children in the New Year.
