A farm for cattle and cars and the Italian duo with the perfect recipe
A farm for cattle and cars and the Italian duo with the perfect recipe
My Way is an outlet for creative Aussies to share their stories on how they choose to do things their way, airing this Saturday at 12pm on Nine.
After starting her own farming venture, Julie Mayne experienced the heartache of Queensland’s devastating drought and opted for a creative outlet to combat the isolation. Narrator Tim Blackwell introduces viewers to the hard-working, single mum of two who creates spectacular sculptures made from scrap metal, now dotted around her isolated and vast property.
Like Julie, Alben and Helen Perrett know all too well the struggles of farming. Their escape and means of income? Opening up their land to other adventure seekers, like Alben, to practice their pursuit of four-wheel driving. Now Landcruiser Mountain Park is one of Australia’s largest 4WD camping grounds and Alben and Helen split their time between the cattle and the cars.
Ben Jones is your average Aussie bloke, a lover of all things fishing and footy. After retiring from professional footy for the Canberra Raiders, his hobby of fishing became an obsession, particularly developing a fascination with the Giant Trevally. Ben now travels the world in pursuit of these magnificent fish.
It took two friends Ben Cleary-Corradini and Theo Roduner to share their passion of quality, authentic Italian cuisine to master the perfect recipe for seriously good gnocchi. From a two-person market stall serving fresh, hand made gnocchi, to opening Australia’s first 100% dedicated Italian Gnocchoria, the duo is sharing the love through a delicious dish – and eating it too!
