9News content to run across oOh!media’s network of digital billboards reaching millions of Australians
Daily news headlines from 9News will appear on the country’s most prominent roadside digital sites owned by oOh!media, in a significant move that will bolster brand awareness at a time when trusted news is more important than ever.
In a multi-year partnership with oOh!media that will extend the content distribution of 9News straight into the daily commute of Australians, Nine’s television newsrooms will provide more than 50 state-based news updates each day, seven days a week.
The headlines will appear across 74 large format digital Out of Home billboards on some of the country’s most heavily trafficked roads in five capital cities – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth – as well as regional Australia including the NSW Northern Rivers.
Nine’s Director of News & Current Affairs, Fiona Dear, said: “We have been actively evolving our news product to ensure we are reaching our audience where they are in their day-to-day lives. Whether that be on their daily commute, at work, or at home, we want our news content to be easy to consume and access. This partnership with oOh! is another piece to our puzzle, ensuring that we are broadening our distribution even further, and giving millions of Australians daily updates to keep them informed.”
Cathy O’Connor, CEO of oOh!media, said: “The partnership with 9News is yet another step forward in our strategy to enhance the Out of Home experience by delivering high-quality, contextually relevant content at scale. This initiative further reinforces oOh!’s commitment to making public spaces better by providing timely, attention-grabbing content that extends the value exchange for both audiences and our advertising partners.”
Nine’s Director of Growth & Retention, Helena O’Dowd, said: “As one of Australia’s leading and most trusted news providers, 9News is excited to extend our reach even further through this partnership. By leveraging oOh!’s extensive large format digital network, we can deliver breaking news and local updates to audiences on the move, ensuring more Australians stay informed no matter where they are. This collaboration reinforces our commitment to providing timely, accurate, and engaging news content in new and innovative ways.”
