4BC broadcasts every day from the Ekka
4BC Brisbane will bring the good times to the Royal Queensland Show when it broadcasts every day LIVE from Agricultural Hall for a nine-day radio extravaganza at the Ekka.
Brisbane’s longest reigning Breakfast radio trio, Laurel, Gary and Mark, will be the ones waking up the roosters ahead of their 6.00am start each weekday as they bring the Ekka experience alive through the airwaves.
When the clock strikes 9.00am, Ray Hadley will take over the microphone with all the Ekka’s thrills and spills, before Sofie Formica with Afternoons at midday. From 3.00pm, Peter Gleeson will drive you home (or to the Ekka to enjoy the night time entertainment).
Spencer Howson will be the first 4BC presenter to greet Ekka-goers with his Weekends show from Day 1 (Saturday, August 12), and the last to bid goodbye for another year when he wraps up the festivities on Sunday, August 20.
4BC Content Manager, Max Dudley, said: “Broadcasting over 75 hours of live and local programming, Brisbane will have a ticket to every exciting day of the Ekka by tuning in to 4BC Brisbane.
“An open invitation is extended to everyone visiting RNA Showgrounds to come and say hello. It’s going to be a great nine days!”
RNA Chief Executive, Brendan Christou, said: “In what is the biggest celebration of country and city coming together, it’s great to have 4BC returning to the heart of the Agricultural Hall to capture all the Ekka action.”
4BC Brisbane will broadcast every jam-packed day of the Ekka (Saturday, August 12 to Sunday, August 20) from Agricultural Hall.
