WALLABIES RETURN WITH BLOCKBUSTER SERIES AGAINST FRANCE
GAME 1 TOMORROW NIGHT ON STAN SPORT AND 9GEM
The Wallabies make their debut on Stan Sport and 9Gem this Wednesday night at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, with extended ad-free coverage on Stan Sport from 7:15pm AEST, and from 7:30pm on 9Gem.
They will face off against France, for the first time on Australian soil since 2014, in the eToro three-match test series. Australia and France have a fierce head-to-head rivalry, with many of their recent meetings having been decided by only a handful of points.
Coverage will be presented by Stan Sport and Wide World of Sports’ incredible commentary lineup, hosted by Roz Kelly and Nick McCardle, and featuring ex-Wallabies superstars including Tim Horan, David Campese, Drew Mitchell, Morgan Turinui and Justin Harrison to break down every minute of the action.
The Wallabies will be captained once again by Michael Hooper, their most experienced player competing in his 106th test for his country. He is joined by a host of Super Rugby AU stars in Waratahs captain Jake Gordon, Brumbies captain Allan Alaalatoa and Reds powerhouse Taniela Tupou.
Coach Dave Rennie has also named rookie Noah Lolesio in the team, who will join Gordon in a new-look halves pairing.
Meanwhile, ‘les Bleus’ will be fielding an exciting side packed with youthful exuberance, with several rookies among the pack.
Coach Fabien Galthie has put placed the captaincy on impressive flanker Anthony Jelonch, alongside other young talented French stars including Louis Carbonel, Jean-Baptiste Gros and Arthur Vincent – whom all starred in France’s single point victory over Australia in the 2019 World Rugby Under 20 Championship.
Fans in Brisbane can get an unmissable 2-for-1 deal when they purchase a ticket for game 1 here.
For all the latest, tune in to Rugby Heaven on Stan Sport tonight from 8:00pm AEST as Wallabies legend Tim Horan exclusively goes behind-the-scenes in Wallabies camp to get all the latest ahead of the game.
Game 2 will continue from AAMI Park in Melbourne next Tuesday July 13th, before returning to Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane for the third and final game on Saturday, July 17th.
